Cool Tools for Library 2.0 Video and Podcast Series is a series of screencasts and podcasts produced by graduate students of LIBR 246 class under Prof. Debbie Faires at San Jose State University – School of Library and Information Science. Each student picks a Web 2.0 tool and creates a podcast and a screencast to discuss how the tool can be useful for use in the library. The series started in 2007; each tool presented as a blog post and contains a variety of Web 2.0 technologies. The aim of the project is to provide a useful resource via short video and audio clips of how-to’s and “sales pitches” of available Web 2.0 technologies for information professionals as no one has the time to sample and try everything that’s out there. The series is available for subscription via RSS feed or through the iTunes Store under Podcasts – Video Podcasts – Educational Technology, just search “cool tools library 2.0.” You can also visit the blog at http://cooltoolslibrary2.blogspot.com.
