Tweets from the beyond: John Quincy Adams Twittering

Posted using ShareThis

The article linked above is written by Sharon Gaudin for Computerworld. It is about the Massachusetts Historical Society opening an account today on Twitter under the name of John Quincy Adams, the sixth president of the United States. The MHS will start tweeting JQA’s journal entries exactly two hundred years ago from today on the late former president’s experiences on his voyage to Russia as the first ambassador of the US to that nation. Whoever thought of this idea is a genius, as it is an excellent use of the microblogging site as an educational tool and to create historical awareness. I am going to be adding Adams’ account on Twitter and I hope more accounts like this gets created.
