SSD or HDD

If you are a gadget enthusiast or shopping for a new laptop, you probably seen portable computers with solid state drives, or SSD. The  main difference between a solid state drive equipped laptop to that with the standard hard drive is that the former has no moving parts, therefore making it less prone to breakage. Of course, the benefit of that to the user is cost in the long term, since you won’t have to replace parts and less incidence of data loss. It goes without saying though, that you still need to be religious in backing up your data as drives do fail whether its HDD or SSD based. In tests, solid state drives have a clear advantage to hard disc drives in terms of performance and durability, but the one big impediment for making SSD the standard on laptops is price. You pay three times more for the same number of gigabyte for a SSD that you will get in a HDD.

Anyway, check out this video comparison between a SSD and HDD done by YouTube user jkkmobile.
