Engadget posted a hands on of Dell’s Adamo XPS. This is Dell’s 2nd generation model for their boutique notebooks that is all form rather than function. I like how Dell was able to come up with a thin chassis for the XPS Adamo and the uber-geek way of unlocking the latch, but I am not a fan of the way it sits on the table. It just looks so fragile and looks awkward to use or to keep safe from breaking into two. Plus points for Dell though for thinking outside of the box and trying really hard not to come up with a Macbook Air clone. Honestly, though I just don’t see this design profile or form factor taking off, and at its price point, this might enjoy a very short run.
