I have not touched my blog for awhile due to health issues that I am still trying to sort out, but I’m back.
Things have been happening.
The spring semester has begun and I enrolled in LIBR 240 and 266. LIBR 240 is the introductory course to information tools and web design, while LIBR 266 is about collection management. I have already taken LIBR 246, the advanced class to 240 last spring, and enjoyed it immensely, but I felt that my knowledge is sorely missing in terms of some basic concepts on how to do web design, so I decided to take 240. So here’s to 240 and filling in the gaps! Work has been hectic with new circulation policies rolling out in the coming weeks and also my continuing involvement with preparing the publicity materials for my libraries’ participation with Silicon Valley Reads 2010, not to mention reports and tasks assigned to me. In terms of gadgets, I have upgraded my Toshiba M700′s hard drive to a solid state drive (SSD) and also the operating system from Vista Business to Windows 7. I will be sharing my experience in another post on that. Incidentally, on Jan 31, a few days from now, this blog will celebrate its one year existence. Yay!
