The Dell Vostro V13 is another 13.3″ thin & light laptop with a CULV processor. It’s already available to order at the Dell website starting at around $450, but $600 buys you a Core 2 Duo ULV SU7300 Intel processor and Windows 7 Premium. The design borrows from the first generation Adamo line and it sports an aluminum chassis with reinforced zinc hinges. I think the Vostro V13 is priced competitvely, with its standard features and available options, especially if you compare this to another thin & light from Asus the UL30VT that sells to close to a 1,000 at Amazon, has the same processor and OS, but with both the NVIDIA GeForce G210m discrete graphics card and the Intel integrated 4500 built-in. Acer and HP also have CULV offering that’s priced within this range. It looks like the 11″ to 13.3″ range will be dominated by CULV thin & lights with price, build quality, and graphics card options becoming the deciding factor of what the consumer will likely get.
